These sit nice and high at my knee, the cushioning is comfy and warm. Would probably be too warm to wear in the late spring/summer. Going to purchase the non-cushion ones for warmer weather. I have a skinny calf and they give good moderate compression. I'm a women's size 9 shoe and the M/L is a great size, would fit a larger foot. I could have ordered the smaller size if I had a smaller shoe size though.
